IntelSat IX Switch Matrix Test Software

IntelSat IX is one of a series of communications satellites owned by an international organization. EMS Technologies produced the microwave switch matrix that provides the satellites' TDMA capability. Janice Bayer provided test software, produced using C++ and HP VEE (similar to LabView), which was used to drive a development test bed for custom, space-qualified gate arrays and firmware. The tests were designed and built to suit the changing needs of electronics and firmware developers without needing to be revised.
