Why Pink Shirt?
Past and present clients have invited us back for their new projects.
Their confidence is a good reason to consider Pink Shirt for yours.
Our experience spans several different types of projects and processor
families (Atmel, 8051, PIC, Motorola, and desktop PC). Please see
the Projects page for more information
about our experience.
We have worked on hardware-hugging assembly code projects from
under 8 KBytes to large, object-oriented projects having several
hundred C++ classes. We will work alone or as part of a team.
As an independent consultancy, our rates can be significantly lower
than those of many consulting companies which charge 40% - 50% overhead
on top of what their programmer earns. Our proven communications
skills can avoid the kind of misunderstandings that commonly add
time and wasted effort to projects.
Pink Shirt will work on any or all phases of your project from
requirements definition through testing, alone or as part of a team.
From assembly language to C code to object-oriented C++, from product
idea to working hardware, our focus is on results and on serving
our clients well.
Above all, we like working on exciting projects. Please contact
us to talk about your current or upcoming projects.
Why the name "Pink Shirt?"
The short answer: We wanted a name people would remember.
The long answer: Coming up with a name was harder than it sounded.
One day while toying with ideas and watching "Raising Arizona"--
one of the CEO's favorite movies -- the character Nathan Arizona
was wearing a pink shirt in a scene. Janice Bayer said "Pink
Shirt Software," and liked the sound of it.
"Pink Shirt Software" is not intended to convey any hidden
meanings or political messages, and no, Janice Bayer has no special
affinity for pink shirts, although we see her wearing one from time
to time.
